Zusammenfassung

Wie bei vielen anderen Produkten auch, ist der Absatz von bandbeschichtetem Blech den Schwankungen unterworfen, die durch die wirtschaftliche Situation hervorgerufen werden. Derzeit entwickeln sich die Märkte regional sehr unterschiedlich. Der europäische Coil-Coating-Markt verzeichnete 2011 ein Volumen von rund 6 Millionen Tonnen [1]. Die Wirtschaftskrise 2008/2009 hatte zu einem Produktionsrückgang um 22 % geführt, den die Industrie bis heute nur teilweise wieder aufgeholt hat (Bild 8.1). In 2010 wurden mit 5,1 Millionen Tonnen 84 % des Absatzes aus dem Jahr 2007 erreicht, das als das beste Jahr für die europäische Bandbeschichtung angesehen wird. Bei bandbeschichtetem Stahl ging der Absatz 2011 noch einmal um 2 % zurück. Der Absatz von bandbeschichtetem Aluminium konnte das Niveau von 2010 halten. Die Analysten der European Steel Association Eurofer gehen davon aus, dass sich der europäische Markt ab 2013 zunehmend wieder belebt.
