Abstract

The use of nanotechnology offers ecological and economic advantages for energy efficiency and the conservation of resources. Technologies that help reduce climate change are in demand more than ever before. In future, ecology and the economy will become inseparably connected, as preventive measures will be cheaper in the long term than remedying the damage caused. Ecology pays off and climate protection pays off — provided one is open to technological possibilities and the conditions of use they involve.
