Prostaglandine in der Geburtshilfe

Zusammenfassung

1930 entdeckten Kurzrock und Lieb, daß menschliche Samenflüssigkeit die Motilität menschlicher Uterusmuskelstreifen in vitro beeinflußt. Aufgrund dieser Erkenntnisse sowie eigener gleichwertiger Untersuchungsergebnisse gab von Euler 1935 einer aus der Samenflüssigkeit extrahierbaren Substanzgruppe den Namen Prostaglandine (PG). Erst 1960 gelang es Bergström und Sjövall, die ersten beiden Substanzen dieser Gruppe (PGE1 und PGF1) zu isolieren, rein darzustellen, ihr Molekulargewicht zu bestimmen und die Summenformeln aufzustellen. 1965 ist Ängard und Samuelsson die Biosynthese dieser beiden Prostaglandine gelungen.
