Computer Circuits

  • Hans W. Gschwind

Abstract

This chapter presents computer circuits and sub-units in which storage and logic elements are inter-connected, so that they perform particular logic or arithmetic operations. All subunits are treated individually, i.e. they are considered separately from other units of the computer. Chapter 8 will then show how the different subunits of a computer work together within the over-all concept. For the following discussions, we shall free ourselves from the burden of detailed schematic diagrams and use logic or block diagram symbols as far as possible.
