Summary

An accurate and robust solver of the three-dimensional Euler equations has beeen developed based on upwind relaxation strategies. Coupling the flow solver to a fast adaptive grid generator yields an efficient numerical tool. Results for inviscid hypersonic flow past the forebody of a generic aerospace plane demonstrate, how the solution marches downstream on its self constructed and adapted grid.
