Abstract

With the growing complexity in product development, the variety of experts required to reach or exceed the state of the art is increasing. On some topics this means that engineering leaders may even lack decision-making competence. As a result they have to relinquish a part of their leadership role to experts. We present approaches for effective involvement and strengthening of experts.
