Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel befasst sich mit der Evaluierung des Cardiac Outputs und der kardialen Dekompensation. Zuerst werden die Ursachen einer fetalen Herzinsuffizienz und die Besonderheiten des fetalen Herzens erläutert. Daran schließt sich die Physiologie des Cardiac Outputs an. Danach wird die Diagnostik der Herzinsuffizienz dargestellt. Dazu gehört auch der Herzinsuffizienz-Score, durch den Herzgröße und Herzfunktion bestimmt werden können. Die Besonderheiten peripherer und venöser Doppler werden in diesem Zusammenhang erläutert. Daran schließen sich die Limitierungen des Herzinsuffizienz-Scores an. Abschließend wird eine weitere Methode zur Beurteilung der Myokardfunktion, der Tissue Doppler, dargestellt.
