Abstract
An individual’s daily vitamin requirement depends on their level of physical activity, age, diet composition and any existing pregnancy or diseases (Tab. 23.1). The body can store fat-soluble vitamins. Vitamin D represents a special case, as its character is more similar to that of a hormone.
