Zusammenfassung

Überblickt man das Gesamtgebiet der Intersexualität, dann muß man die Formen des echten Hermaphroditismus als die erstaunlichsten, weil in der Humanmedizin vollkommensten Zwitterformen bezeichnen. Dies rechtfertigt das Interesse an den im Krankengut an sich seltenen Patienten. 1631 ausführliche Beschreibungen sicherer Fälle seit 1900, zu denen noch weitere 36 fragliche kommen, vermitteln aber heute die Kenntnis der Erscheinungsformen bis in Einzelheiten (Overzier 1961b, 1962b). Der deutschen Ausgabe meines Buches „Die Intersexualität“ (1963b, c) sind jetzt 17 Fälle hinzufügen (Tabelle 1). Daß andererseits so bemerkenswerte und erklärende Befunde, wie sie in den letzten Jahren z.B. beim Turner-Syndrom (XO), dem Klinefelter-Syndrom (XXY, XXXY u. dgl.) oder auch dem adrenogenitalen Syndrom (Hormonwerte, Hormonentgleisung) erhoben wurden, bei den echten Hermaphroditen nicht vorliegen, erschwert zwar die Darstellung und Deutung, erhöht aber auch den Reiz des noch zu Erforschenden.
