Das Epithelioma calcificans Malherbe (ECM)

Zusammenfassung

Für die in Rede stehende Geschwulst wurde bisher eine große Reihe von Bezeichnungen geprägt (Geiser, 1959 a; Gentil Martins, 1956). Die Vielfalt der Benennungen spiegelt die mannigfaltigen Ansichten der einzelnen Autoren über die Histogenese des Tumors wider. Keiner der Termini konnte sich im Schrifttum eindeutig durchsetzen, wenngleich sich die 1961 von Forbis u. Helwig eingeführte Bezeichnung „Pilomatrixom“ in der angelsächsischen Literatur weitgehend eingebürgert hat. Für die vorliegende referierende Bearbeitung wird der ursprünglich von Malherbe u. Chenantais angegebene Namen in seiner verkürzten und latinisierten Form beibehalten: Epithelioma calcificans Malherbe (ECM).
