Abstract
The field of knowledge known as Applied Mechanics has grown up through the years to embrace many of the parts of engineering which are treatable in a more or less exact way by the methods of Applied Mathematics. One of the most recent additions is the field of Magnetogasdynamics — the field in which fluid motions are influenced in a significant way by electric and magnetic forces.
