The Unsteady Flow in Complex Irrigation Systems with Discharge Control Devices
Conference paper
Abstract
The hydraulic modelling of complex irrigation system of channels as regard to both the supply-distribution-irrigation and collecting networks imposes a minute analysis of steady water flow, by considering the backwater curves, together with the unsteady flow resulting by varying the water discharge to satisfy the demand of agricultural areas and as a result of operating of water level control devices (e.g. the cutting-off of water supply of a field sector).
