Abstract
It can be seen from what has been reported in this review that our knowledge on the morphological events which characterize the differentiation of the spinal ganglion neuron is today fairly well advanced. The rather limited knowledge available at the end of the last century, received a considerable impulse at the beginning of this century thanks to the application of impregnation methods to the early embryo. During the last fifteen years the progress of our knowledge has been due above all to the results obtained from electron microscopical research.
