Zusammenfassung
Unter Osteonekrose wird i. allg. das mehr oder weniger umschriebene Absterben vitalen Knochens, also der Knochentod unter Einschluß von spongiösem und kompaktem Knochen sowie dem dazwischengelegenen Knochenmark, verstanden. Bei der Knochenmarknekrose im engeren Sinne stirbt bevorzugt das Fettmark ab, es entsteht der sog. Knocheninfarkt.
