The acid-catalyzed rearrangement of tertiary α-acetylenic (terminal) alcohols, leading to the formation of α,β-unsaturated ketones rather than the corresponding α,β-unsaturated aldehydes. Cƒ. Meyer-Schuster rearrangement.
