Other Infections of the Brain
Chapter
Abstract
In the previous chapters the most important viral encephalitides associated with demyelination have been discussed. In the chapter on acute disseminated encephalomyelitis the allergic demyelinating response of the brain to systemic viral infections has been addressed. In this chapter only a short discussion is devoted to nonspecific white matter lesions occasionally occurring in cerebral infections.
