Abstract

The problem in tracking control system design is to make the controlled variable y follow the command input w as closely as possible. If the model GP of a stable process is known exactly and if there is no other disturbance, this problem could be solved by a feedforward control system as in Figure 6.1. Ideally, one could require that the output y follows the input w exactly.
