Abstract

Very much research work has been done in the area of volume rendering based on 3D range data. It allows flexible handling of visibility attributes stacked along the viewing direction. Overlays and transparent visualisations of volume data can be computed. One major problem of all algorithms is the assignment of the visibility attributes to voxel classes of some common property.
