Abstract

The rising diversity and complexity of knowledge in the modern economic world requires firms to learn to work effectively together if they want to be successful in the longer term. This work concentrates on one type of companies—professional business service firms in general and management consulting in particular—that belong to the most advanced organizations with regard to knowledge transfer and knowledge management. Because of the nature of their services, the interaction with their clients is crucial for a successful value creation.
