Zusammenfassung

Infektiöse Erkrankungen des Dickdarms und Ano- rektums können hervorgerufen werden durch Bakterien, Viren, Pilze und Parasiten. Die manigfaltigen Wechselbeziehungen zwischen Wirt und pathogenem Organismus insbesondere Art, Virulenz und Menge des Erregers, Abwehrlage des Patienten und Manifestationsort, prägen das klinische Beschwerdebild.
