Zusammenfassung

Die endokrinologische Psychiatrie umfaßt die Lehre über die psychischen Erscheinungen bei veränderten endokrinen Funktionen und umgekehrt über das Verhalten der endokrinen Funktionen bei Geistesstörungen. Sie soll namentlich das Wesen des Zusammenspieles endokriner und psychischer Vorgänge klären. Eines ihrer hohen ärztlichen Ziele liegt in der Nutzbarmachung endokrinologischer Behandlungsverfahren für Kranke, die in Behandlung des Psychiaters stehen, und in der Nutzbarmachung psychiatrischer, namentlich psychotherapeutischer Verfahren für endokrin Kranke.
