Zusammenfassung

Vor hundert Jahren hat Virchow über 3 Fälle von Lungenaspergillose berichtet und für Pilzinfektionen der Lunge die Bezeichnung „Pneumomycose“ geprägt. Zuvor hatte bereits V. Langenbeck (1839) das Oidium albicans beschrieben und Schoenlein in den Pusteln des Erbgrinds (Favus) einen Fadenpilz entdeckt. Nach Entdeckung der Bakterien ist das Interesse an der Mykologie für lange Zeit in den Hintergrund getreten. Erst Saboitraud, ein Schüler Pasteurs, Castellani sowie Busse und Btjschke befaßten sich wieder eingehend mit diesem Gebiet.
