Zusammenfassung

Das Polyploidieproblem hat wieder eine starke Bearbeitung, besonders in zweierlei Richtung erfahren. Der eine Teil der Veröffentlichungen des Berichtsjahres beschäftigt sich erneut mit der Verbreitung natürlicher Polyploider, aber im Gegensatz zu bisherigen Untersuchungen ist die Fragestellung klarer gefaßt, und damit läßt sich jetzt in besserer Weise als bisher beleuchten, welche Rolle die Genomvermehrung innerhalb einer Gattung oder Sektion gespielt hat. Auf der anderen Scite sind in einer Reihe von Veröffentlichungen die physiologischen Eigenschaften von experimentell ausgelösten Polyploiden untersucht worden. Beides verknüpft wird dazu führen, daß die Art der Entstehung natürlicher Polyploider besser erkannt werden kann.
