Zusammenfassung

Die Abführmittel sind 1. resorptionshindernd im ganzen Darm (Kalomel, Magnesiumsulfat und Natriumsulfat, Zuckerarten, Manna und Tamarinden). 2. Mittel mit vorwiegend motorischer Wirkung auf den Dünndarm, in wenigen Stunden erfolgend (Ricinusöl, gewöhnliche fette Öle, Paraffinöl, Krotonöl, Colocynthen, Tubera Jalapae und Podophyllin). 3. Mittel mit vorwiegend motorischer Wirkung auf den Dickdarm in 10–15 Stunden (Rhabarber, Aloe, Cascara, Senna, Phenolphthalein, Schwefel, Atropin1).
