Zusammenfassung

Auf tieferes Eingehen der landwirtschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Verhältnisse der im Folgenden besprochenen Fasern mußte verzichtet werden, doch wurde der Beschreibung des Manila- und Sisalhanfes, entsprechend der Bedeutung dieser Fasern im Welthandel, etwas mehr Baum gewährt. In der Abhandlung haben wir nur Fasern berücksichtigt, die so viel wirtschaftliche Bedeutung haben, daß sie vom Außenhandel wenigstens eines Produktionslandes erfaßt werden:

  • Indischer Hanf2) (Crotolaria- und Hibiscus-Fasern),

  • Manila-Hanf,

  • Sisal-Hanf, (Henequen), und Maguey,

  • Neuseelandflachs-(hanf),

  • Mauritius-Hanf und Fiquefaser,

  • Sonstige Hartfasern (Agaven, Mangoe, Pita, Ixtle, Yucca, Cantala, Cabuya, Aloë, Sanseviera, Ananas, Musa, Abutilon, Rosella).
