Zusammenfassung
Das Königreich Thailand erstreckt sich von 6°–20° nördlicher Breite und von 97°–106° östlicher Länge und hat eine Flächengröße von rd. 513000 km2. Seine größte Länge ist rd. 1650 km und seine größte Breite rd. 770 km. Die Küste am Golf von Thailand ist rd. 1930 km und am Indischen Ozean rd. 490 km lang (Abb. 1).
