Zusammenfassung

Die Bezeichnungen Dioxopiperazine bzw. Diketopiperazine sind strenggenommen nur für jene Formen der Aminosäureanhydride vom Piperazintypus zutreffend, welche zwei unversehrte Carbonylgruppen enthalten, jedoch haben sich der Kürze wegen diese Namen als gemeinsame Sammelbegriffe für die echten Dioxopiperazine und ihre desmotropen Formen allgemein eingebürgerte1.
