Zusammenfassung
Das Syndrom des verlängerten QT-Intervalls (LQTS) nimmt unter den häufig mit tachykarden Herzrhythmusstörungen einhergehenden Erkrankungen eine Sonderstellung ein. Diese Einschätzung resultiert nicht nur aus der Seltenheit der Erkrankung und der Tatsache, daß vorwiegend Kinder befallen werden, sondern auch aus den charakteristischen pathophysiologischen Veränderungen und der Notwendigkeit spezieller diagnostischer und therapeutischer Maßnahmen.
