Abstract

In the previous chapter we have seen that the automatic recovery of 3D objects and shapes from images can be used as a sophisticated way to solve modeling problems in computer graphics. The associated subfield of imaging dealing with this topic is called computer vision. During the last two decades many efforts have been made in this area and plenty of surveys have been published [8, 122, 165].
