Abstract

The computer program MIGFISH is designed to assist in the study of the economics of harvesting migratory species of fish from a theoretical or an empirical point of view or both. Thus, on the one hand, the program can be used to examine theoretical problems in fisheries that are too complicated to yield analytical results. On the other hand the program. can be used to identify profit maximizing harvesting paths for actual migratory species in an empirical context.
