Microspots on Spectroscopic Emulsions — An Update

Abstract
In the IAU WGPP Conference Proceedings ‘Astronomical Photography 1984’ Good and Gourlay (hereafter Paper I) highlighted investigations at ROE into the microspot problem affecting Kodak Spectroscopic plates. This paper considers further work and conclusions since Paper I, particularly through further statistical analyses of the UKSTU plate collection and electron microprobe examinations of the emulsions.
