Abstract

The most popular area of application of the BIE method is elasticity problems. The previous chapter has demonstrated the validity and accuracy of the BIE method in axisymmetric potential problems. In this chapter, the method is extended to include elasticity problems using similar approaches to those used in the potential analysis.
