Zusammenfassung

Die progressive Sklerodermie ist eine der schwersten chronischen Erkrankungen unseres Faches. Trotz erheblicher Anstrengungen ist eine Klärung der Ätiologie sowie die Entwicklung einer kausalen Therapie bisher nicht gelungen. Insbesondere wenn die Erkrankung das sklerotische Spätstadium erreicht hat, ist eine medikamentöse Beeinflussung des Leidens bis heute nicht möglich.
