Abstract
Anamnesis plays a key role in the investigation of hormonal disorders in gynecology. Besides the usual questions, special attention is given to the course of puberty, the age of menarche, thelarche, adrenarche (pubarche), and the menstrual cycle with regard to the rhythm, duration, and amount of menstrual bleeding. This will reveal any preexisting menstrual irregularities.
