The Meaning of the Degree of Hybridization in Paramagnetic Clusters

Abstract
In order to better understand the variation of the degree of hybridization (D.H) of a ligand through a series of similar complexes we propose a rule, which implies that D.H should be maximum in an ionic situation, tending to decrease when covalency increases.
