New Discharge Circuit for Efficient Shock Wave Generation

Abstract

A new discharge circuit for the generation of shock waves in water was developed. The water spark gap operates in the self-breakdown regime. Measurements of electrical parameters of the discharge channel ar’e presented. The discharge circuit was used for generating focused shock waves for ESWL.
