Zusammenfassung

Auch für die Hypertonie ist—wie für die koronare Herzerkrankung—eine multifaktorielle Genese allgemein akzeptiert. Generell läβt sich feststellen, daβ physiologischen und biochemischen Faktoren ein höherer Stellenwert beigemessen wird als psychologischen Bedingungen, wobei oft von einem Zusammenwirken der verschiedenen Faktoren ausgegangen wird. Steptoe (1981) hat in einem Modell zur Entstehung der Hypertonie versucht, die verschiedenen Aspekte zu berücksichtigen (Abb. 1).
