Information System for Radiologists
Abstract
The medical information system introduced here was not planned to be universal or an expert system. Our primary intention was to create a tool for collecting data, literature and images, gather them in a consistent form for interindividual exchange and use them as a help in comparing radiological data of all provenience. The information system was created by a medical doctor and a mathematician in strict division of tasks. The physician defined the problems, the mathematician managed to make the problems understandable to the computer and resolved the difficulties involved in how a computer system could come along with common medical decision making, the problems of a purely empiric science and medical terminology.
