The Ecological Role of Aquatic Organic and Inorganic Components, Deduced from their Nature, Circulation and Interactions
Conference paper
Abstract
The goal of this chapter is to give an overview of the main organic and inorganic components of natural waters, their circulation, their interactions with trace elements, and the role of the latter on preservation of life. Several of the topics outlined are discussed in more detail in other chapters of this book and in BUFFLE (1988).
