Zusammenfassung

Malignome des Hypopharynx und Larynx kommen mit einer Häufigkeit von 2% aller Malignome vor (Batsakis 1979). Sie bilden keine Einheit; gemeinsam haben sie nur ihre Lokalisation im Übergangsbereich des Oropharynx zu den tiefer gelegenen Abschnitten der Luftwege und des Verdauungstraktes. Wegen dieser anatomischen Nähe, und weil Tumoren des Larynx in den Hypopharynx infiltrieren können und umgekehrt, sollen sie gemeinsam besprochen werden.
