Zusammenfassung

Die Funktion der Linse besteht in der Fokussierung des einfallenden Lichts auf die Retina. Die Linse ist so aufgebaut, daß maximale Lichtdurchlässigkeit möglich wird. Der Verlust ihrer Fähigkeit, das einfallende Licht ungehindert durchzulassen, wird als Katarakt bezeichnet [1, 2].
