Abstract
At the 1971 meeting we presented the uro-rheomanometry, the method of simultaneous measurement of pressure and flow in the ureter (Melchior 1971). The intraureteral flow measurement, the urorheography, was based on the principle of heat conduction. Heat conduction is — with some limitations — a function of the flow velocity of the surrounding medium. Combined with electromanometry, urorheography formed the basis of our program for urodynamic investigations of the upper urinary tract (Fig. 1).
