Gegenwärtiger Stand der adjuvanten Chemotherapie des Mammakarzinoms

Zusammenfassung
Die adjuvante Chemotherapie stellt die postoperativ vorgenommene Applikation von Zytostatika bei solchen Tumoren dar, die trotz lokaler Operabilität häufig metastasieren. Die adjuvante Chemotherapie geht nach operativer Entfernung eines Tumors im Gesunden grundsätzlich von der Annahme aus, mögliche okkulte Metastasen vor ihrer Manifestation zu eliminieren. Auf diese Weise soll das Lokalrezidiv bzw. die Fernmetastasierung verhindert und die definitive Heilungsrate verbessert werden [1].
