Abstract

The treatment of primary brain tumors is usually unsuccessful. Great effort has been made to improve the statistics, but results have added only slight prolongation of life and some temporary amelioration of symptoms with essentially no cures. Tumors are found too late and too large. They resist complete removal and do not respond favorably to irradiation, chemotherapy, or immunologic attack (6).
