Abstract
Artefacts are of less importance than in other electrodiagnostic techniques, but may be considered under two headings:
- 1.
Artefacts in the narrow sense of the word, due to disturbances originating outside the musculature being examined. Special screening measures are not required as a rule, though AC hum and other electrical activity sometimes upsets the recording. A correctly positioned earth electrode will usually prevent this kind of trouble.
