Sensitivity-Based Synthesis of Eigenpair Shift
Conference paper
Summary
A method is formulated to synthesize the structural modification required to realize the given shift of the eigenvalue and eigenvector on the basis of the notion that the objective design is searched in the vicinity of the baseline structure under the equality constraint conditions representing the first order approach of the structural response to the objective values. The numerical example regarding the modification of the vibration mode of a truck chassis verifies that the synthesis can be implemented by a few iterations.
