Sampling of Industrial Material (Sampling for the Balancing of Elements in the Cement Industry)
Chapter
Abstract
The behaviour of various elements of environmental interest in an industrial process is normally investigated by balancing the input and output of each element. In this way the behavior of several minor constituents and trace elements in the cement clinker burning process [1’8] and in power generating plants have already been investigated [9-16]. The results of investigations on cement kilns have led to a remarkable reduction of the emission of some of these elements. This chapter reports on the experience gained with cement kilns; a great deal of this may be transferred to other industrial processes.
