Abstract

Percutaneous balloon valvuloplasty was recently introduced in the treatment of calcific aortic stenosis, the leading valvular disease among the elderly in the Western world [1–4]. This paper reports results with percutaneous aortic balloon valvuloplasty in a group of elderly patients with congestive heart failure.
