The Influence of Percutaneous Aortic Balloon Valvuloplasty on Heart Failure in Elderly Patients with Calcific Aortic Stenosis
Conference paper
Abstract
Percutaneous balloon valvuloplasty was recently introduced in the treatment of calcific aortic stenosis, the leading valvular disease among the elderly in the Western world [1–4]. This paper reports results with percutaneous aortic balloon valvuloplasty in a group of elderly patients with congestive heart failure.
