Abstract

The evolution in vascular radiology involving the use of ultra-thin catheters and improved techniques has led to a minimization of risks without compromising the quality of percutaneous interventional procedures (Gross-Fengels et al. 1998; Günther 1993; Lemarbre et al. 1987; Manashil et al. 1983; Rieser and Rückner 1995; Rogers and Kraft 1990; Soulier-Parmeggian 1992; Struk et al. 1993; ). These newer developments now enable us to perform such procedures in our private imaging center on an out-patient basis, for which there is growing demand (Zeitler 1998).
