Abstract

The cephalochordates are represented by the two genera Branchiostoma Costa and Asymmetron Andrews. Detailed studies of the integument have involved only Branchiostoma lanceolatum Pallas, and the basic organization of the integument is thought to be the same throughout the subphylum.
